As the Chinese New Year 2023 is drawing near, I would like to extend my sincere greetings on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Cuba to our Chinese nationals and compatriots overseas, as well as to our friends in Latin America and the Caribbean!

China-Cuba friendship enjoys a very long history and remains indefinite over time. Last year, we held a variety of activities on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the arrival of the first batch of Chinese workers in Cuba and the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba. In late November, at the invitation of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of China, Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of Cuba, paid a state visit to China. The leaders of the two countries and parties reached an important consensus with fruitful results, injecting new momentum into the development of China-Cuba relations.

In the new year, all the staff of the Chinese Embassy in Cuba will continue to work hard to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders, so as to achieve new results in China-Cuba friendship and to reach new heights in China-Latin America relations.

We wish our great motherland prosperity and peace, and the people of Latin America and the Caribbean happiness and well-being!
